About Mike Fink
Raised in the Appalachian Mountains, Mike Fink is no stranger to the wilderness. As a multi-day trip guide leading groups across the Appalachian Trail, he took great joy in sharing his love of the forest with new hikers, encouraging, and educating them along the way. While working as a filmmaker in Los Angeles, Mike volunteered with outdoor organizations and wildlife conservancies to help preserve and protect our natural world. Mike now combines his love of nature with his experience in storytelling to inspire audiences around the globe to make the most of their time in our wonderful outdoors.

“It’s not often that one has the opportunity to work with people who run their business and relationships with such professionalism as the team at Heliconia. Everyone at Wiley X that has worked with them has been impressed with their depth of knowledge, insights, and quality of content. It’s both a pleasure and massive benefit to have a partner like Heliconia working alongside us, creating amazing content as well as clever ideas on how to use this content to achieve our tactical and strategic objectives.”

Dean Searles

“We had the pleasure of working with Heliconia for two Epic Trails segments that featured Uganda. The patience, hard work and positivity that flowed from the production team was pivotal as we navigated mandatory media accreditation, film permits and travel requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic. The enthusiasm and professional manner of the film crew in-destination made for a smooth filming process. It was truly a pleasure to work closely with the team and the results exceeded expectations. We hope to work with Heliconia again, soon!”

“The Epic Trails project went very smoothly and we are extremely happy with the final edited program. From pre-production through filming to post production and placement, it was an absolute delight to work with the entire team at Heliconia. As I expressed to their team, they truly are a class-act.”
