FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Heliconia, the award-winning video production company behind the exciting Facing Waves television series, is pleased to announce that the tenth season of its popular paddlesports show is set to premiere on Outside TV the week of July 14th, 2023 across the US.
Facing Waves is an inspiring adventure travel TV series that follows world-renowned paddler and author, Ken Whiting, as he discovers the cultures, landscapes and paddling adventures that surround the world’s most amazing adventure travel destinations. Ken’s mission is to get more people into the outdoors and become life long enthusiasts and does so with inspiring and informational content. The first two episodes are a two-part episode set on the Caribbean’s first and only sea kayaking trail, the Waitukubuli Sea Trail, in Dominica. The episode follows Ken as he explores the incredible coastline, experiences the local culture, and paddles alongside some new friends for an exciting kayak adventure in the islands.
Later in the tenth season, Facing Waves heads to the alligator-filled waters of the 438,000 acre Okefenokee swamp in Georgia, the creeks, rivers and lakes of the Tennessee River Line, and rounds the season off paddling the remote lakes and rivers of Ontario’s Highlands in Canada.
The show’s premiere airing will be delivered internationally on the Outside TV network but will also be delivered via the Bally Sports Network group across all their regional US sports networks starting later in July. All episodes are also being broadcast on Europe’s Nautical Channel, as well as Canada’s Water Network, starting at the beginning of August.
