Beachburg, ON (March 7, 2024) – Heliconia, the outdoor and adventure travel media powerhouse, is pleased to announce Brendan Mark's appointment as the new CEO. Mark, a former professional world class athlete is set to lead Heliconia into a future marked by innovation in outdoor content production and marketing. With the mission of “Guiding People to a Lifetime of Adventure”, Heliconia has Mark in place to manage its business growth as Heliconia’s reach expands.
Mark's journey is a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication in media and the outdoors. A seven-year member of the Canadian National Freestyle Kayaking team, Brendan entrenched himself in the outdoors industry as an athlete. Armed with a BBA in Marketing, Mark began working with Ken Whiting, founder of Heliconia and quickly became a partner with a focus on Heliconia's sales and marketing.
Mark's new role as CEO is a perfect evolution from his previous role as VP of Sales and Marketing. Brendan, also a Partner at Heliconia, has contributed significantly to the company's emergence as a leading production company in the outdoor and adventure travel industries.
