Heliconia, the award-winning video production company behind the exciting Hook, Line & History television series, is pleased to announce that this unique adventure show is set to premiere on Bally Sports on July 14th, 2024 across their U.S regional networks. The series will also air in Canada on Wild TV this fall.
Host Ashley Nichole Lewis, with a MA in Environmental and Indigenous History, a Ph.D. student of History, and a proud member of the Quinault Indian Nation, is revolutionizing the conventional fishing show. In each adventure, Ashley embarks on a subsistence fishing adventure, seamlessly intertwining narratives that bridge the gap between history, sustainability, and our modern lives. In her premiere episode, Ashley welcomes us to the Quinault Reservation to meet the people, mentors and community that helped her become Bad Ash Outdoors. The episode features epic salmon fishing along with incredible hikes, scavenging for oysters, and telling stories along the rugged Pacific coastline.
